Pickleball

Claiming the space at the net with a paddle, from a first serve to official ratings and shaping the sport.

Pickleball is a racket sport played on a small court with a paddle and a perforated ball. The non-volley zone at the net means soft hands and good positioning decide matches more often than power does. You start with the serve and basic groundstrokes, then move into dink rallies, third-shot choices, and working out positioning with a partner. Later levels bring official ratings and tournament brackets. At the top, the work widens into coaching and designing injury-prevention programs.
